Jazzville brings legendary sax man Bob Sheppard and his Quintet to Palm Springs with vocalist Maria Puga Lareo. This will be an exceptional nite of straight ahead jazz, bossa nova and swing.
For more than four decades, Bob Sheppard has played sax, clarinet and flute on countless sessions with an astounding crop of A-list jazz giants—among them Chick Corea, Freddie Hubbard, Herbie Hancock, Kurt Elling, Dianne Reeves, Lyle Mays and many others. He’s also recorded and toured as a leader, and contributed to hundreds of movie and TV soundtracks.
Maria Puga Lareo is a jazz and Brazilian music vocalist, songwriter and producer. She initiated her career in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she was born and raised. Maria collaborated with this culturally rich and historical city’s finest musicians, singing in clubs, theaters and jazz festivals.
Jazzville at the Cascade Lounge is in a plush, NON-SMOKING clubroom with state-of-the-art sound and lighting, clear sight lines, and a quiet listening audience.
