History of Women in Blues

Sweet Baby J’ai is joined by some of the best musicians on the West Coast to travel through time to celebrate and honor the women in blues music. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind collaboration between Desert Blues Revival and the team behind the Palm Springs Women’s Jazz Festival.

“The History of Women in Blues” combines music, drama, and visual arts, including historical videos and inspiring anecdotes. From Da’ Blues and the rise of the Harlem Renaissance to the turbulence of the sixties and beyond, this tribute to some of the most iconic singers in jazz and blues builds understanding and appreciation for the history and culture of the female experience in American music.
