Meet The Messengers! The City of Indio invites you to the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for its newest public art installation, The Messengers, on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 6 p.m. in Downtown Indio.
Created by renowned Sri Lankan artist Kumkum Fernando, The Messengers first appeared at the 2023 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, captivating audiences with their vibrant, towering forms. Now, two of these colorful, robot-like sculptures, standing 65 to 75 feet tall, have found a permanent home in Indio!🤖
