Also offered are architectural walking\, biking and double-decker bus tours\, tours of the historic Annenberg Estate at Sunnylands\, a classic car show\, a vintage trailer show\, a golf tournament\, garden tours\, nightly parties\, and a special series of compelling and informative talks. DESCRIPTION:The Palm Springs Modern Committee invites the public to celebrate the permanent lighting of Albert Frey’s modern sculptural masterpiece\, the Palm Springs Visitor Center\, at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 16 to help kick-off Modernism Week.\n\nThanks to a combination of Measure J funds and PS ModCom contributions secured in 2022\, the light will shine on this historic building going forward since Modernism Week first lit it in 2012.\n\nJoin Palm Springs Mayor Grace Garner\, the Palm Springs Modern Committee Board of Directors and Modernism Week’s Board of Directors Chairman\, William Kopelk\, for the official lighting ceremony.\n\nThis event is free.

DESCRIPTION:Jazzville brings the Bryan Cabrera Quartet to the Cascade Lounge in Palm Springs.\n\n\nBryan Cabrera‘s style has been described as Buddy Rich meets Frank Sinatra. He’s a swinging drummer and refined vocalist and Jazzville is excited to bring him out to the desert with his astonishing\, versatile jazz quartet. \nBryan Cabrera plays drums\, congas\, harmonica\, and sings (beautifully) at the same time. This quartet plays jazz\, latin jazz\, funk\, blues and pop covers in our own way.  And these cats are top shelf\, baby; Jeff Littleton on bass toured with Herbie Hancock\, Willie Bobo\, and Nancy Wilson. Rickey Woodard on sax toured with Ray Charles big band for 7 years and is currently part of the Clayton Hammilton Jazz Orchestra. And we can’t wait for you see/hear Mahesh Balasooriya on piano (Natalie Cole\, Stanley Clarke\, Arturo Sandoval)\, we’ve been wanting to host this bad boy at Jazzville for a spell. \nJazzville at the Cascade Lounge offers state-of-the-art sound and lighting with pristine acoustics and plush seating. \nThings to know before you go: \n• Must be 21 or over. \n• Doors open at 6pm with a 7pm showtime. \n• Drinks served throughout the show. \n• No refunds except for COVID-related shutdown. \n• Free covered parking in attached garage. \nWe cannot take cash at the door (casino policy). We can accept credit cards at the door if seats are available. \nOur shows can sell out\, so pick your seats today! If you ignore the seating chart\, then the best available seats will be assigned to you. \nNo one under 21 admitted. Tickets are non-refundable. Line-up subject to change without notice. \nBoth the casino and lounge are non-smoking environments. \nFood is not served in the Cascade Lounge but can be brought in from any of the casino restaurants.
