DESCRIPTION:The Stephen Baumbach Gallery proudly presents “Creative Sizzle”. \nWe’re making this summer even hotter with a special collection of original works from some of the hottest artists in the desert.  This group show features abstract impressionist Roberto Amaral and five other Coachella Valley artists. \nThe exhibit runs from June 7 to July 29\, 2023.  Summer gallery hours are Monday – Friday\, 10am-2pm. \nJoin us at the opening reception on Wednesday\, June 7\, 2023 – 5pm-7pm\, to coincide with the Backstreet Art District’s First Wednesday Art Walk.  Light hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be provided. \nThe gallery is located at 4116 Matthew Drive\, Palm Springs\, (CA  92264).  During road construction\, please access the gallery using the service roads around The Estate Sale.  For more information\, please call 760-501-6806. \n

DESCRIPTION:Don’t miss the hilarious Nikki Bon headline Caliente Comedy at Agua Caliente Casino Palm Springs!\n\n\nNikki Bon is an American/Canadian comedian\, actress\, and writer. She grew up in Toronto with her single mom and grandma until the age of 11 when her stepdad came into her life. Being an only child\, Nikki wasn’t the easiest kid to win over. She started acting at the age of 8 when she would play the role of “devil child”  to scare off her moms boyfriends by locking them in the basement or faking sick so they would go away. Her stepdad appreciated pranks so she allowed him to stay and Nikki decided take her performances outside of home.  \nShe studied acting at Queens University where she got a BAH in Theatre. After studying improv at Toronto’s Second City\, she moved to New York City to train at The Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB). While in New York\, Nikki also attended the Atlantic Acting School\, founded by playwright David Mamet and actor William H. Macy.  \nNikki moved to Los Angeles in 2014\, where she continued to perform with the UCB\, and completed Groundlings writing lab\, another prestigious improv academy who’s notable main company alumni includes Kristen Wiig\, Will Ferrell\, and Melissa McCarthy. Nikki has done stand-up at comedy clubs across North America\, including The Improv\, The Comedy Store\, Yuk Yuks\, Ice House\, and Comedy Bar\, to name a few. You can catch Nikki on season 14 of America’s Got Talent where she plays her iconic character “Insta Girl”. \nNikki is probably best known for her unhinged\, self-deprecating\, and dark humour. After all\, she has been in a bank robbery\, seen a plane crash and was recently reunited with her absentee dad who wasn’t around when she was growing up. So she was pretty much built to be a comedian. Not letting any life experiences go to waste\, Nikki has started a podcast with her absentee rock and roll dad\, where she hashes out their issues and tries to teach him how to be a father. In hopes of helping other parents or kids in their shoes. You can listen to Whoa\, Dad! anywhere you get podcasts.  \nCaliente Comedy features some of the biggest touring comics from all around the world. Each show is 90 minutes complete with openers and a headlining act.
