Many bands were approached to take on a tribute show to Herb Alpert’s Tijuana Brass\, but only Marty Lush & his Latin Livers had the brass to say yes! \nI (Barry) have worked with Marty Lush on various music-related projects\, and I’ve seen the Latin Livers in action. I know where we’re going with this so trust me when I say\, don’t just read about it the next day\, grab your seats and be here already. \nMarty Lush (Mark Riddle) is a stellar vibraphonist and marimba player who had his own\, popular salsa band for a decade in San Diego. His musical lifework is astonishing; recording artist\, podcaster\, performer\, arranger\, DJ\, show host and now… his whipped cream salute to Herb Alpert’s Tijuana Brass for Jazzville’s 6th Anniversary Spectacular! \nJazzville at the Cascade Lounge is in a plush\, NON-SMOKING clubroom with state-of-the-art sound and lighting\, clear sightlines\, and a quiet listening audience. \nThings to know before you go: \n• Must be 21 or over. \n• Doors open at 6pm with a 7pm showtime. \n• Drinks served throughout the show. \n• No refunds except for COVID-related shutdown. \n• Free covered parking in attached garage. \nWe cannot take cash at the door (casino policy).
