KJ Baysa and Bernard Leibov (co-Founders and co-Curators) are very pleased to announce the fourth edition of Joshua Treenial, a series of art, installations, performances and community building that highlights all that Joshua Tree inspires and makes possible. Installations and performances take place at BoxoPROJECTS in Joshua Tree, CA and at iconic local venues such as The Integratron. Cultural Partners are invited to produce exhibitions and programming along the theme that culturally activate the entire region. Joshua Treenial is produced by BoxoPROJECTS, an artist residency and programming initiative serving the CA desert region for over a decade.

This edition of Joshua Treenial is titled Aterritorial: This is a time when boundaries of all forms are being enforced: territorial boundaries, binary thinking, and ideological lines in the sand. The artists in Aterritorial propose new ways of seeing, of challenging the many lines being drawn, and of reconnecting us to a greater arc of wholeness and fluidity beyond holding ground. By blurring the binary, acknowledging past histories and preserving hope, they offer aterritorial paths to new futures.
